About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the NA Finance Director and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the business unit.
  • Have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the business unit.
  • Work closely with operational and commercial leaders to provide financial insights, improve profitability, and support sustainable growth.
  • Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the business units long-term strategy.
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Site Director and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution.
  • Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; Monthly profit and loss forecast by division (vs. budget).
  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
  • Manage work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the business unit/industry.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, or finance with C.P.A and/or M.B.A is required.
  • At least ten years of experience in financial management within a manufacturing facility with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.
  • Cost accounting experience is highly recommended.
  • Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.
  • This is a service-orientated position.
  • The successful candidate must genuinely enjoy working with people, have a pleasant disposition, and be willing to advance the goals of the organization by demonstrating competence in relevant subject areas and a willingness to be helpful.
