About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide clinical leadership and subject-matter expertise for complex medical policy content
Ensure accurate implementation of medical policies and authorization requirements
Research and analyze system and business issues
Develop high-level requirements, test and implement solutions, and audit outcomes
Mentor and train Coding Specialists and provide policy-related training to operational partners
Maintain the claims processing system infrastructure to ensure compliance
Collaborate with teams to resolve coding-related denials and questions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree or direct and applicable work experience preferred
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
Clinical background in a health-related discipline (such as nursing, medical assisting, etc.)
7+ years of related health care experience in provider payment, claims, medical coding, or similar
Expertise in medical coding and terminology
Strong attention to detail with multitasking ability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
