Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in the veterinary industry
Completion of an NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities (preferred)
Ability to enhance and acquire new veterinary technical skills
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
Ability to multi-task effectively
Ability to remain calm and resilient in fast-paced environments
Experience handling dogs, cats, and exotic animals
Knowledge of basic animal care and common medical procedures.
