About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and maintain the organization’s accounting principles, financial controls, auditing practices, and procedures
- Manage the performance and effectiveness of the organization’s billing and revenue control function
- Supervise and monitor the accounting department
- Direct the formulation, monitoring and presentation of budgets
- Provides leadership and oversight of the Billing Team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant claims processing and cash collections
- Leads strategies to maintain accounts receivable performance and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) within established organizational targets
- Ensures organizational compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting requirements related to reimbursement and revenue cycle activities
- Provides strategic oversight of revenue cycle systems and workflows to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting/finance functions
- Revenue Cycle leadership and accounting/billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, advanced Excel, E-mail
- Excellent interpersonal skills required
- Teamwork and communication skills essential for dealing with agency team and outside contacts
