About the role
- Design the end-to-end intelligence architecture that supports perception, reasoning, and actualization in real operational environments.
- Map current-state systems, data flows, workflows, and equipment signals, and translate them into a clear future-state architecture.
- Define how sensors, models, algorithms, workflows, and user interfaces work together to support real-time decision-making.
- Work directly with client operators, supervisors, engineers, and leadership to understand pain points and prioritize work based on business value.
- Evaluate tradeoffs between custom solutions, product extensions, platform roadmap contributions, and rapid prototypes.
- Partner closely with engineering to ensure designs are buildable, scalable, and aligned with technical constraints.
- Partner with product to influence roadmap decisions based on real-world operational needs and reusable capabilities.
- Guide ML, software, and frontend engineers by defining requirements, data schemas, interface logic, and system interactions.
- Ensure solutions are grounded in reliability, safety, and clear user value, especially in latency- and uptime-sensitive environments.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly and plainly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Document system architectures, workflows, dependencies, and decision logic for internal teams and clients.
- Identify risks early and propose mitigation strategies before they become blockers.
- Serve as the technical owner for the first 3–6 months of implementation for major customer deployments.
Requirements
- Experience architecting complex systems that integrate software, data, and AI components.
- Demonstrated experience shipping production systems and building real, working software.
- Strong understanding of enterprise environments, including system integrations, infrastructure, and data pipelines.
- Experience designing or integrating real-time or near-real-time workflow systems, ideally with embedded or edge constraints.
- Proficiency in data modeling, event-driven architectures, and system decomposition.
- Ability to map current-state workflows and design future-state systems aligned to business value.
- Experience balancing custom client work with productized and platform-level capabilities.
- Comfort leading technical discovery sessions with clients and translating findings into actionable designs.
- Strong communication skills across operators, engineers, executives, and product teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, prioritize well, and move from idea to delivered value.
- Familiarity with digital twin concepts, real-time perception systems, or multi-model orchestration is a strong plus, but not required.
Benefits
- Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package.
- 401k Match
- $200/mos Health and Wellness Stipend
- $400/year Continuing Education Credit
