Associate, Fraud Investigations – Identity & ATO
WealthsimpleFraud Investigator specializing in Account Takeover (ATO) and Identity Fraud at Wealthsimple. Protecting clients by investigating fraud cases and securing compromised accounts.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Dive into the weeds of suspected Account Takeover (ATO) and Identity fraud cases.
- Take immediate, decisive action to lock down compromised accounts, stop fraudulent activity, and remediate the situation based on industry best practices.
- Communicate directly with clients guiding them through the recovery process with empathy and clarity.
- Manage multiple ongoing investigations while maintaining case-closure Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Participate in weekly calibration sessions to share findings, spot ATO trends, and help the team stay ahead of fraudsters.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 1 year of direct fraud experience (experience specifically touching ATO, identity verification, or account security is a massive asset!)
- Demonstrated understanding of fraud management frameworks, controls, and prevention systems within the financial services space.
- The ability to collect, organize, and analyze datasets with precision and accuracy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have valid work authorization to be part of the team in Canada.
