Senior Accountant, Product Accounting
WealthsimpleSenior Accountant managing credit card-related financial operations at Wealthsimple. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial integrity of products and accurate reporting.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and account for SimpleTax, Wealthsimple Mortgages, and Wealthsimple Cash products.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including product analysis and month-over-month variance analysis
- Play a key role in building and implementing new accounting processes for new product launches
- Prepare monthly accruals and account reconciliations to ensure accurate and complete financial statements
- Support the month-end close process
- Assist in developing and documenting new accounting policies and procedures
- Build and maintain relationships with Operations and Data teams to ensure seamless communication and accurate reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in accounting
- CPA designation (or working towards completion of CPA designation)
- Experience with IFRS and strong familiarity with product accounting principles including revenue recognition
- Experience with Netsuite is an asset
