About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Development of complex Shopify solutions: custom apps, public apps, integrations, APIs, GraphQL, and Liquid
Independently design technical architectures — you think from the customer's perspective, not just the code
Act as Technical Project Lead (TPL) in client projects
Close collaboration with Marcel (CTO) as a sparring partner and mentor
Active and proficient use of AI tools in day-to-day development (not a nice-to-have but standard)
Continuous improvement of our technical standards and internal processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

More than 3 years of professional experience in Shopify development
Demonstrable experience with custom app and/or public app development on Shopify
Knowledge of Shopify custom & public apps (Node.js / React)
REST and GraphQL APIs as well as complex system integrations
Shopify Liquid and frontend development
Technical architecture mindset — you see the whole system, not just the code
Proficient use of AI coding tools such as Cursor
Independent and solution-oriented — you bring solutions, not problems
Able to dive deep into unfamiliar topics and devise your own solutions
Structured, quality-conscious working style
Hungry for growth and open to feedback
