About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Learn and perform poultry-processing production tasks, including deboning and evisceration
- Perform duties in compliance with company policies, agency guidelines, and federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Follow safety protocols and correctly wear required personal protective equipment
- Promote a zero-accident culture in areas requiring PPE
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous poultry experience preferred
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
- Wear required protective equipment where mandatory
- Ability to work non-standard shifts, including weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work in wet and cold environments around raw and/or animal odors
- Ability to work around noise exceeding 85 decibels, CO2, and moving equipment
