About the role
- Lead and manage complex projects in the insurance domain — from initiation and planning through to successful delivery.
- Take responsibility for meeting time, cost and quality objectives.
- Develop structured project plans with clear milestones and resource allocation.
- Identify risks early and proactively manage them.
- Clarify requirements with internal and external stakeholders and ensure transparent communication.
- Design and optimize project processes as appropriate, applying targeted methods (e.g., Waterfall model, Scrum, Kanban).
- Lead, motivate and support the project team with passion and confidence.
- Continuously monitor project progress and provide regular status reports.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of the insurance industry.
- Experience leading projects, ideally as a management consultant with an insurance industry focus or as an in-house consultant.
- Deep understanding of insurance processes and their IT landscapes.
- Project management experience in classical, agile or hybrid environments.
- Experience with the digitalization of business processes.
- Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or Scrum are a plus.
- Strong communication skills, initiative and solution-oriented mindset.
- University degree.
- Business-fluent German and good English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project assignments.
