About the role
- Responsible for financial accounting in the DACH region and Southern/Eastern Europe
- Lead and develop the "Accounting & Tax" team
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS
- Act as the primary contact for management, external auditors and tax advisors
- Help design accounting processes and internal controls
- Implement global standards within the region
- Contribute M&A expertise and take responsibility for restructurings
- Support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred
- Qualification as a tax consultant (Steuerberater) or auditor (Wirtschaftsprüfer) is a plus
- Proven experience leading (full or partial) projects and solid project management skills
- Knowledge of HGB and IFRS
- Strong leadership skills with team spirit and empathy
- Proficient with MS Office and modern digital tools
- Fluent in German and English — written and spoken
- Located in or near Nuremberg and willingness for regular on-site presence
