About the role
- Lead and contribute to high-impact client engagements, ensuring seamless execution from planning through delivery.
- Managing end-to-end technology project delivery, including strategy, implementation, integration, and team coordination across functions.
- Leading technology project delivery across strategy, implementation, and integration efforts – managing scope, timeline, and cross-functional teams.
- Supporting IT strategy and CIO advisory engagements, helping clients define technology roadmaps, governance models and transformation priorities.
- Overseeing delivery of data, analytics, and AI initiatives, coordinating technical terms to implement scalable data platforms and insights-driven solutions.
- Managing software application projects, including custom development, system integration, and enterprise platform rollouts (e.g., ERP, CRM, cloud platforms).
- Drive project management activities: define scope, develop project plans, track milestones, manage risks, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing structure in ambiguous situations and guiding stakeholders through resistance and change.
- Participate in proposal development and delivery to client organizations.
- Apply expertise by monitoring and identifying project issues, mitigating risk, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of work.
- Confidently manage project teams, deliver structure where there is ambiguity, resolve stakeholder resistance and risks, and implement the desired outcomes.
- Work closely with diverse teams to deliver results and foster an environment to recognize and reward individual and team achievements.
- Present findings both internally at Wavestone and externally to clients, including data acquisition and insights.
- Collaborate with an internal network of skilled consultants to solve client problems and deliver high impact projects.
- Cultivate and maintain long term relationships with clients to identify collaborative efforts and develop new business engagement opportunities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of consulting experience, preferably in a Big Four or similar environment, with a strong background managing technology projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and team leadership.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies; experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
- Well-developed financial and business acumen from working in a variety of business functions including supply chain, finance, operations, HR, marketing, and sales.
- Passion for identifying problems and the desire to collaborate with clients in designing and implementing simple solutions in complex and unclear situations.
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional project teams.
- Demonstrated strategic big picture thinking paired with the ability to pivot and deep dive into the details as required.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office products including the ability to develop compelling communication of complex concepts using PowerPoint.
- Confidence and presence to engage directly with clients at the senior leadership level.
- Strong written and oral communications skills including the ability to communicate concisely and clearly with both line and senior management level clients.
- Ability to travel based on client requirements.
