About the role
- Product assortment development & management
- Define and lead the strategy for the Asian product range (food and/or non-food).
- Analyze market trends, competitors and perform regular benchmarks.
- Build the assortment: product selection, innovations, product refreshes and range rationalization.
- Draft product specifications (quality, packaging, standards, pricing positioning).
- Sourcing & negotiation
- Identify, select and manage a network of suppliers, ideally internationally.
- Conduct commercial negotiations (price, volumes, lead times, terms, exclusivity).
- Optimize purchasing costs and margins with a long-term partnership approach.
- Work closely with the supply chain to secure supplies.
- Performance management
- Monitor key KPIs: sales, margin, turnover, out-of-stock rate.
- Analyze performance and propose corrective action plans.
- Build business plans and manage the budget follow-up for the category.
- Launch & coordination
- Collaborate with marketing, purchasing, logistics and commercial teams.
- Manage product launches (timelines, marketing materials, sales arguments).
- Contribute to in-store merchandising and presentation of the offer: packaging, merchandising, storytelling.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (Bac +4/5) in marketing, business, purchasing or equivalent.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience minimum as a Product Manager, Buyer or Category Manager, ideally in the food sector.
- Strong experience in supplier negotiations in an international context.
- Knowledge of Asian markets is a real plus.
