About the role

  • Product assortment development & management
  • Define and lead the strategy for the Asian product range (food and/or non-food).
  • Analyze market trends, competitors and perform regular benchmarks.
  • Build the assortment: product selection, innovations, product refreshes and range rationalization.
  • Draft product specifications (quality, packaging, standards, pricing positioning).
  • Sourcing & negotiation
  • Identify, select and manage a network of suppliers, ideally internationally.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations (price, volumes, lead times, terms, exclusivity).
  • Optimize purchasing costs and margins with a long-term partnership approach.
  • Work closely with the supply chain to secure supplies.
  • Performance management
  • Monitor key KPIs: sales, margin, turnover, out-of-stock rate.
  • Analyze performance and propose corrective action plans.
  • Build business plans and manage the budget follow-up for the category.
  • Launch & coordination
  • Collaborate with marketing, purchasing, logistics and commercial teams.
  • Manage product launches (timelines, marketing materials, sales arguments).
  • Contribute to in-store merchandising and presentation of the offer: packaging, merchandising, storytelling.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (Bac +4/5) in marketing, business, purchasing or equivalent.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience minimum as a Product Manager, Buyer or Category Manager, ideally in the food sector.
  • Strong experience in supplier negotiations in an international context.
  • Knowledge of Asian markets is a real plus.
