About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the full software lifecycle from design and architecture through deployment and live field trials.
  • Maintain feedback loops from implementation to test and evaluation to improve product performance.
  • Adapt the perception stack to handle environmental noise, clutter, rain, and low-contrast target profiles.
  • Integrate computer vision pipelines onto edge hardware for real-time inference and offboard control.
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for object detection, classification, tracking, target guidance, and target re-identification.
  • Correlate camera-based perception outputs with ADSB, radar, and RF inputs.
  • Build robust, efficient, and scalable embedded perception functionality for real-time detect, classify, and track systems.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional, international engineering teams on mission-critical autonomous defense systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience working as a Computer Vision generalist or perception engineer
  • Advanced proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency in C++ or Rust
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux platforms, particularly NVIDIA Jetson devices
  • Demonstrated experience in object tracking, target detection, or image processing
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, high-trust environment under a responsible engineer framework
  • Deep knowledge of camera systems working principles
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under export-control regulations
