About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and grow relationships with architects, contractors, distributors, and key decision-makers
  • Prospect for new business and identify project opportunities within your territory
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Generate quotations and work with internal teams to develop winning proposals
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve territory sales goals
  • Represent Wagner at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Estimating, Engineering, and Operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of outside sales or business development experience
  • Experience in architectural products, construction, metal fabrication, or building materials preferred
  • Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to read construction drawings and understand project specifications is a plus
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a sales territory
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
