About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the development of new projects with suppliers to ensure the launch of new products and product modifications;
Monitor the development of production means on-site with suppliers, from project phase through final product approval;
Track and analyze qualitative progress, production capacity, and supply risk;
Support internal VW areas with suppliers in managing activities: product modifications, capacity increases, quality improvements, etc.;
Perform technical evaluation of production means to analyze and create solutions to mitigate production risks and recommend rehabilitation actions;
Support the sourcing process by providing technical assessments of supplier proposals;
Work with suppliers on crisis management and troubleshooting activities when there is a supply risk due to equipment breakdowns or production failures;

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Production, etc.), Business Administration, Technology, or related fields;
Intermediate to advanced conversational English;
Knowledge of plastic part manufacturing processes (injection, blow molding, extrusion, thermoforming, painting, chrome plating, etc.);
Experience in project management and process development;
Knowledge of simulation and modeling software (flow analysis, CATIA, PowerShape, NX/Unigraphics, finite element analysis);
Experience with quality tools (APQP, FMEA, Control Plan);
Proficiency in MS Office;
Resilience, proactivity, sense of ownership, conflict management skills;
Good communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team;
Availability for frequent travel (domestic and international);
Active driver's license (CNH).
Differentials:
Postgraduate degree is a plus (Project Management, Agile Methodologies, Production Processes, etc.);
Knowledge of VDA 6.3 requirements is a plus;
Intermediate Spanish or German.
