About the role
- Manage the development of new processes with suppliers to ensure the launch of new products and their modifications;
- Monitor the development of production means on-site with suppliers, from design through final product approval;
- Perform evaluations of quality, production capacity and supply risk;
- Support Volkswagen internal teams with suppliers in managing activities: product modifications, capacity increases, quality improvements, etc.;
- Conduct technical evaluations of production equipment and tooling to recommend rehabilitation actions;
- Support the sourcing process through technical evaluation of supplier proposals;
- Work with suppliers on crisis management and troubleshooting activities when there is a supply risk due to equipment breakdowns or failures.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related fields;
- Desirable: Technical qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials, Business Administration or related areas;
- Advanced/Fluent English required;
- Proficient in MS Office;
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for metal parts (stamping/welded assemblies, aluminum casting, forging, etc.);
- Project management and process development experience;
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Availability for domestic and international travel.
