About the role
- Create, test, and deploy software packages for distribution via SCCM
- Identify and resolve issues with software distribution and installation
- Create and maintain documentation for software packaging processes and configurations
- Collaborate with other IT departments and developers to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues
- Monitor and manage SCCM servers and clients to ensure smooth software distribution
- Plan and implement patch management strategies to ensure up-to-date software versions and security updates
Requirements
- Strong knowledge in using and administering SCCM for software distribution and system management
- Experience creating and customizing installation packages (e.g., MSI, EXE) and using tools like InstallShield or Advanced Installer
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or VBScript for automation and troubleshooting
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues that may arise during software distribution
- Understanding of Windows server and client architectures as well as knowledge of network technologies
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation
