About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop the AI Department within TZ
  • Steering CARIAD’s portfolio of (Gen)AI-based R&D efficiency measures and process optimizations
  • Leading the TZ development activities for delivering state-of-the-art (gen)AI for PMT and Process Optimization
  • Governing the (Process) AI development across CARIAD R&D and within the Volkswagen Group
  • Representing CARIAD within the Volkswagen Group Process AI consolidation (KAK PMT, KI@TE etc)
  • Drive the tech strategy for Process AI for CARIAD in close alignment with the tech centers and CARIAD’s enterprise IT
  • Process owner of the AI development process @CARIAD
  • Steering the efforts of building up a central governance for the EU AI Act in CARIAD
  • Innovating AI-application fields and novel approaches for using AI in making CARIAD and Volkswagen R&D faster and more efficient

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in computer science, information technology, technical economics, electrical engineering or in a related fiel
  • At least 5 years experience in a tech company or management consulting or OEM in leading teams
  • Deep understanding in process AI and AI-based automation
  • Experienced in forming AI Strategies, leading AI teams, development of business plans and governance of technology domains
  • Agile mindset with strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Proven track record in driving transformation & strategy projects with cost and efficiency focus is essential
  • Strong project management skills (demonstrated experience in managing high priority complex projects with several C-level stakeholders in short time)
  • Strong and empathetic communication and self-organization skills, solution-oriented mindset and executive stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, high-level of professionalism, proactiveness, resilience and service orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in working with alignment and governance bodies within Volkswagen
  • Knowledge and deep understanding of PMT is a plus
