About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate ORU robustness testing and support release statements for vehicles sold in North American market.
  • Coordinate test plan with partners to ensure proper testing and resources are planned.
  • Plan and organize needed parts and vehicles.
  • Ensure that all test information is provided and relevant to the region.
  • Ensure that all test orders are performed on components/control modules in necessary vehicle configurations.
  • Create regular status reports as requested by partner teams.
  • Support release recommendation for ORU Robustness for software and hardware tested.
  • Ensure complete documentation on electrical communication errors during launch phase of vehicles.
  • Ensure error documentation uploads to central database and follow up with responsible engineers for resolution.
  • Provide regular reports of failure ticket status to partners.
  • Attend Fehlerrunde and Task Force meetings as needed.
  • Test over-the-air updates of various vehicle control modules.
  • Troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Update test vehicle fleet via hardware installations, software updates, etc.
  • Track/update vehicle configurations in tracking systems.
  • Provide guidance, advice, feedback and support to team members with less experience.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Industrial, or Automotive Engineering or related field of study.
  • 60 months of experience.
  • Testing automotive electronic system and automotive control modules.
  • Automotive control module root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of vehicle communication networks and ability to capture traces.
  • Electric vehicle system architectures.
  • Troubleshooting communication breakdowns within network by analyzing network communication.
