About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct feasibility studies and lead the implementation of local production initiatives across Africa
Lead and coordinate diverse, cross-functional teams across brands and cultures
Track, monitor, and report on project milestones in line with Board of Management requirements
Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and drive team performance to meet targets
Represent VWGA internally and externally and negotiate with governmental authorities and production partners
Engage with Group, Regional, Local and external stakeholders to formulate, implement and monitor the Corporate regional strategy
Identify and develop new business opportunities to support sustainable growth in African markets
Evaluate and implement new projects, with a focus on local production initiatives
Coordinate internal resources to ensure efficient planning, execution, and delivery of projects
Act as an internal consultant by advising management, engaging stakeholders, and assessing factors impacting mid- to long-term business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in one of the fields of Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering
Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management or strategy environment
Negotiating and decision-making experience at a senior level
Financial analysis capability
Automotive experience (Added Advantage)
