About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently evaluate parts and final vehicles against VWAG Konzern audit standards.
  • Randomly select audit units and assess product quality within Press, Body, and Paint Shops.
  • Present daily audit findings and results to QA and Production Unit Heads during Shopfloor Management meetings.
  • Highlight product and part deficiencies during VFF, PVS, and O‑Series phases to prevent fault points prior to SOP.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of implemented corrective actions.
  • Conduct monthly audits of Audit Black Bodies from Press and Body Shops and report deficiencies to management.
  • Apply and defend Konzern audit standards objectively and without influence during fault allocation discussions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and coordinate cross‑functional corrective actions for Body, Paint, Sealer, Corrosion, and Safety issues.
  • Support problem resolution by creating problem sheets and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Audit new part introductions during trial builds to prevent future line stoppages.
  • Compile and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management and quality forums.
  • Participate in international Ringvergleich (comparison) audits and provide training based on learnings.
  • Provide training to new Product Quality Auditors and Production Inspectors in line with Konzern guidelines.
  • Liaise with overseas counterparts and suppliers to resolve quality and build issues.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum Qualifications: National Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical or Polymer
  • Certified Product Auditor (Advantageous)
  • Toolmaker/ Motor Mechanic Trade (Advantageous)
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ audit experience within VWSA or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of vehicle manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance systems and product audits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain objectivity under pressure.
  • Thorough product and technical knowledge of VW vehicles.
  • Strong presentation skills across all organisational levels.
  • Computer literacy in audit systems and tools (PDA, Calipri) and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to train and mentor newly appointed auditor.
