About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop cab interior components and systems from concept through production, including validation and field support;
- Prepare and review technical specifications, 2D/3D drawings, engineering documentation, materials and manufacturing process documentation;
- Conduct feasibility studies, including packaging, interfaces, tolerances, ergonomics and vehicle integration;
- Define validation plans and oversee functional, bench, field and durability testing;
- Integrate interior components with onboard electronic systems (infotainment, sensors, cameras, ADAS, etc.);
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Marketing, Styling and suppliers);
- Coordinate suppliers in the development of materials, prototypes, tools and production implementation;
- Participate in design reviews, failure analysis and technical troubleshooting activities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related fields;
- Solid experience in development of automotive components and manufacturing processes (plastics, metals, rubber, etc.);
- Knowledge of processes such as plastic injection molding, stamping and assembly;
- Strong understanding of regulations and standards for cabins and commercial vehicles (safety, ergonomics, visibility, dimensions, etc.);
- Proficient in CATIA V5 and familiar with PLM tools;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written);
- Availability for national and international travel;
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- **Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in global automotive projects or working with multicultural teams;
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in automotive engineering or materials;
- Knowledge of sustainable materials or eco-efficient processes;
- Additional language skills (German or Swedish are a plus)
