Product Engineer – Test, Cabin Components Testing and Durability

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development, testing, and verification of vehicle safety components, including seat belts, anchorage, and occupant protection systems;
- Plan and coordinate crash test activities (supplier testing, internal facilities, and external laboratories), ensuring compliance with ECE and global regulations;
- Manage documentation, regulatory evidence, and technical reports for homologation of safety-related items;
- Plan and manage accelerated durability tests on rigs and test benches;
- Conduct failure analysis and define corrective and preventive actions;
- Collaborate with global and multidisciplinary teams (engineering, regulatory affairs, CAE, test labs).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Production, Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related fields);
- Postgraduate Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering;
- Experience in vehicle in vehicle testing, validation, or structural/component engineering focused on cabin system and occupant safety;
- Solid knowledge of durability, structural, safety, thermal and functional testing as well as cabin regulatory requirements, including ECE R14, ECE R16, ECE R17, ECE R29, ECE R94 **and** related standards;
- Hands-on experience with regulatory cabin testing, especially ECE R29 (front impact, roof strength, rear wall strength) and ECE R14 (seat anchorage);
- Experience with thermal system validation, including performance assessment under high and ambient temperatures;
- Solid experience with automotive air conditioning systems, including R134a and R1234yf refrigerants. Capable of performing both bench and vehicle-level evaluations, supporting system development and validation activities;
- Shaker tests, multi-axis rigs, cab mounts, frame torsion and bending evaluation;
- Driver’s license: Category D or E.
- English - Advanced/Fluent (Technical)
