About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join VL Test Systems Ltd (VLT) as a Field Service Engineer, servicing and supporting our equipment at customer sites across the UK
Troubleshoot breakdowns, carry out repairs, and proactively advise customers and the service team
Ensure high customer satisfaction by minimizing equipment downtime through effective service, calibration, and repair activities
Work closely with customers and internal teams, manage schedules and resources efficiently, and ensure all work is clearly documented and communicated
Support installations, train customers, uphold safety standards, and continuously develop your technical skills

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in engineering service, calibration, maintenance, or commissioning roles, ideally within the Commercial Vehicle sector
Strong numerical skills
Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
A motivated, dynamic, and professional attitude with a presentable appearance
Excellent time management and reliability
Ability to communicate confidently with both Directors and workshop staff
A clean driving licence (preferred)
Flexibility in working hours and a proactive mindset.
