About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join VL Test Systems Ltd (VLT) as a Field Service Engineer, servicing and supporting our equipment at customer sites across the UK
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, carry out repairs, and proactively advise customers and the service team
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by minimizing equipment downtime through effective service, calibration, and repair activities
- Work closely with customers and internal teams, manage schedules and resources efficiently, and ensure all work is clearly documented and communicated
- Support installations, train customers, uphold safety standards, and continuously develop your technical skills
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in engineering service, calibration, maintenance, or commissioning roles, ideally within the Commercial Vehicle sector
- Strong numerical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A motivated, dynamic, and professional attitude with a presentable appearance
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Ability to communicate confidently with both Directors and workshop staff
- A clean driving licence (preferred)
- Flexibility in working hours and a proactive mindset.
