About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write and maintain code within applications and systems to implement capabilities and features
Improve performance and maintainability while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps
Participate in Agile planning
Work with Product Management to understand customer and end-user challenges and design viable solutions
Recommend process, technology, and interface solutions that improve team effectiveness and reduce technical debt
Foresee capacity requirements for component usage and identify limitations
Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning
Contribute to product and solution designs addressing critical issues and complex problems
Build software applications across multiple platforms in response to stakeholder needs
Understand technical architecture and write software and automated tests aligned with agreed standards
Perform troubleshooting and investigations when necessary
Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products
Provide technical guidance and oversight to less experienced software engineers
Participate in the engineering community and monitor emerging software technologies and best practices
Share insights with others in the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
2–5 years of working experience
Working experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems
Working experience realizing applications from conception and design, to implementation and support
Working experience coding within multiple technology stacks including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#.Net, and Entity Framework
Working experience with SQL Server building complex queries and update statements
Working experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)
Working experience in analysis, design and programming
Experience with Cloud-based systems is a plus, specifically with AWS
Experience with AI-driven development is a plus
