About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direct patient care by optimizing therapy delivered by patients’ cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIED)
Assess patient symptoms and analyze heart rhythms
Interrogate and perform advanced reprogramming of cardiac implantable electronic devices
Provide direct patient care in person and via remote monitoring
Work with various CIED brands using up-to-date standards
Compose accurate device interrogation and reprogramming reports for final approval by the Cardiac Electrophysiologist
Document pertinent clinical data in the electronic health record
Maintain annual proven competency for this level of patient care
Work under the supervision of the Cardiac Electrophysiologist

Requirements

What you’ll need

RN with 2+ years' experience with electrophysiology
Successful completion of a full cardiac device educational program
Certification with the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners Allied Professional Certified Cardiac Device Specialists exam, or equivalent examination
Current Georgia RN license or a multistate license verified by primary source
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Ability to implement knowledge of health care and medical procedures
Interpersonal/human relations skills
Attention to detail
Ability to interact positively with staff, providers, and patients
Efficient time management
Delegation and team-building skills
Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written English
Ability to optimize technology to support clinical care
Basic computer skills
Ability to adhere to the code of conduct
