About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain web applications and systems using Ruby on Rails;
Contribute to the evolution of B2B solutions and initiatives for the Mais Saúde product;
Develop and maintain integrations with systems in the RD Saúde ecosystem;
Work on integrations with services built in other technologies, such as .NET (C#) and Java;
Write clean, readable code following best practices and software development patterns;
Design and implement solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, and high availability;
Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively;
Actively participate in the software development process, from planning through delivery;
Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality of the team's codebase;
Contribute to architectural decisions and the technical evolution of applications;
Support and mentor less-senior team members, serving as a technical reference;
Explore opportunities for innovation, including solution personalization and the use of AI where applicable.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience as a backend developer with Ruby on Rails;
Experience with system architecture, APIs, and service integrations;
Experience with high-scale applications and a strong focus on performance;
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other areas and technical teams;
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB);
Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
Experience writing automated tests (RSpec, Capybara, or similar);
Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms;
Proficiency with Git and GitHub;
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with .NET (C#) or Java;
Experience with event-driven architecture or microservices;
Experience with B2B products;
Experience with data-driven personalization;
Experience or interest in projects involving Artificial Intelligence;
Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure automation;
Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
