About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and evolve the end-to-end infrastructure scaling platform for critical events, prioritizing reliability, traceability, and operational experience;
Develop, maintain, and evolve high-performance backend APIs and services;
Work on integrations with internal and external services;
Develop and maintain integrations with systems across the RD Saúde ecosystem;
Work on systems built with various technologies such as Ruby on Rails, .NET (C#), Java, and React Native;
Make technical decisions, contributing to architecture definition and development best practices;
Write clean, readable code aligned with quality standards;
Participate in code review processes to ensure quality and consistency of produced code;
Explore innovation opportunities, including customizing solutions and applying AI where applicable;
Occasionally work on front-end tasks;
Support and develop less senior team members, serving as a technical reference.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience as a backend developer;
Experience with system architecture, APIs, and service integrations;
Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, Kotlin, JavaScript, Ruby;
Experience with high-scale applications and a focus on performance;
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with other areas and technical teams;
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB);
Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
Experience with unit testing and load testing;
Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms;
Proficiency with Git and GitHub;
Knowledge of observability tools and practices, including OpenTelemetry for collection, instrumentation and correlation of logs, metrics and traces, distributed tracing and service monitoring, as well as tools like Datadog and Grafana.
