About the role
- Liaise with various staff and senior stakeholders, including Clients, Sub-contractors, Senior Engineer, Foreman, and Quantity Surveyor.
- Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the project through leadership, management, and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Management of Design Team relationships.
- Management of the design development processes including the RFI processes and design development workshop activities where required.
- Manage sub-contractors, engineering, and operational staff on site.
- Plan weekly work programmes and produce weekly reports on project progress.
- Oversee the site team to ensure key milestones are met.
- Manage the project design process while working alongside the commercial team.
- Work closely with the Contracts Manager and report progress to ensure the site programme aligns with budget and commercial objectives.
- Continuously reinforce the Health & Safety culture, striving for an accident-free site.
- Attend and chair weekly management meetings.
- Manage the complete day-to-day lifecycle of the project, from initial stages through to handover.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Trade qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant studies or certifications related to contractual management or other role-specific areas
- Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or civil engineering industry
- Comprehensive understanding of the demands and expectations of the role in a dynamic environment
