About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end project management of national competitions, conferences, and training workshops.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, workflows, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of live and virtual events.
  • Monitor participation, engagement metrics, and event outcomes.
  • Partner with technical consultants and internal teams to update training materials and resource guides.
  • Serve as primary liaison for regional teams to support program implementation and event execution.
  • Develop tools, templates, scoring guides, and resource libraries to strengthen regional consistency.
  • Create and maintain a national events calendar and standardized registration processes.
  • Identify best practices across regions and lead implementation of shared improvements.
  • Partner with the Program Director to implement high-quality programs aligned with VE’s strategic goals.
  • Manage systems for tracking program participation and engagement.
  • Oversee data collection processes and support reporting on program outcomes.
  • Support the development and refinement of program standards and operating procedures.
  • Provide responsive support to VE staff, partners, teachers, and students.
  • Communicate clearly across departments to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Contribute to internal planning conversations and program innovation efforts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (education, business, nonprofit management, or related field).
  • 3–5 years of experience in program management, education, nonprofit operations, or event management.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications; experience with project management tools is a plus.
