About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, inspect, and maintain services for wireless radio and antenna systems on towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures
  • Mount antennas, including panels and microwave dishes, run coax, apply connectors, scope fiber runs, and sweet test coax lines and jumpers
  • Install tower equipment, including, but not limited to, masts, clamping, bracing, support, antennas, remote radio units, cabling, and bolting
  • Complete antenna installation of RF and microwave parabolic dishes from 1 foot to 10 feet in size
  • Troubleshoot RF and microwave systems
  • Assemble structures such as monopoles, self-supports, and guyed towers
  • Install power trunk lines
  • Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment in a safe manner
  • Support site cleanup and upkeep
  • Ability to manage crew members when required
  • Complete company required documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
  • At least 2 years of wireless telecom construction experience preferred
  • Must be willing to reside within a daily commutable distance from the crew base
  • Basic knowledge of knots and tower rigging
  • Must have or obtain and maintain Authorized Climber & Competent Climber/Rescue certification from an accredited institution
  • Ability to pull your own body weight, plus equipment weight, up vertical towers up to 500 feet for extended periods of time
  • Preferred: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR
  • Ability to travel away from home up to 75% of the time including weekends. Travel includes local or regional site travel
  • Must have a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law
