About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for a judicial labor caseload
Draft various pleadings (defenses, appeals, submissions: simple and complex)
Conduct in-person and virtual hearings
Update the firm’s and the client’s case management systems
Monitor case progress and procedural steps
Perform other routine tasks related to the caseload
Send hearing preparations (contact attorneys, company representatives/prepostos, and witnesses)
Negotiate and finalize settlements
Prepare legal opinions
Request documents/information from the client
Monitor case progress (docket follow-up)
Perform monthly database updates
Other duties related to the role
Perform administrative activities related to cases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active OAB registration (São Paulo chapter)
Ability to work effectively in a team
Experience working in a law firm
Experience representing defendants/respondents in labor cases
Ability to follow established workflows and processes
Experience preparing company representatives (prepostos) and conducting witness interviews
Experience conducting hearings
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office suite
Postgraduate degree in Labor Law preferred
