About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for a judicial labor caseload
  • Draft various pleadings (defenses, appeals, submissions: simple and complex)
  • Conduct in-person and virtual hearings
  • Update the firm’s and the client’s case management systems
  • Monitor case progress and procedural steps
  • Perform other routine tasks related to the caseload
  • Send hearing preparations (contact attorneys, company representatives/prepostos, and witnesses)
  • Negotiate and finalize settlements
  • Prepare legal opinions
  • Request documents/information from the client
  • Monitor case progress (docket follow-up)
  • Perform monthly database updates
  • Other duties related to the role
  • Perform administrative activities related to cases

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active OAB registration (São Paulo chapter)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Experience working in a law firm
  • Experience representing defendants/respondents in labor cases
  • Ability to follow established workflows and processes
  • Experience preparing company representatives (prepostos) and conducting witness interviews
  • Experience conducting hearings
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office suite
  • Postgraduate degree in Labor Law preferred
