About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application builds, automated testing, packaging, and deployments.
- Implement automation solutions for environment provisioning, operational workflows, release activities, and infrastructure support tasks.
- Support secure software delivery practices including code scanning, dependency validation, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, pipeline, and environment-related issues across multiple applications and services.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve release quality, deployment reliability, and software delivery timelines.
- Support cloud infrastructure and shared platform services in coordination with architects, engineers, and operations teams.
- Maintain technical documentation for deployment pipelines, environment configurations, release procedures, and operational processes.
- Participate in incident response activities, root cause analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor system, application, and pipeline performance and recommend improvements to tooling, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Support change management, release readiness, and deployment coordination activities for production and non-production environments.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks and emerging challenges as required to support the team's goals and organizational priorities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, build and release engineering, systems administration, or cloud operations environments.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar automation platforms.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, Linux administration, scripting, and infrastructure automation concepts.
- Experience with containers, deployment tooling, and artifact repository management.
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles, secure software delivery practices, and security-focused automation processes.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues related to deployments, pipelines, infrastructure, and application environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative software delivery practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively across development, QA, security, and operations teams in complex technical environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government clearance.
