About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partnering closely with the Conflicts Team, General Counsel, Information Technology, Accounting, attorneys, and professional staff to perform conflict checks efficiently and accurately
- Conducting conflicts of interest and due diligence research using 3E, Westlaw, and other online resources
- Assisting in the identification and resolution of conflicts of interest
- Answering questions regarding conflict check processes and loss prevention policies
- Opening new matters as needed and during lateral attorney onboarding
- Auditing 3E Action Lists and conflict check records and addressing unresolved processes to promote record hygiene
- Escalating issues to the Director of New Business Intake, as appropriate
- Assisting with projects as needed and other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree or higher
- Three (3) years of relevant experience
- Paralegal Certificate
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with one or more law firm billing software systems
- Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse departments and offices
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Experience working as part of a team and independently
- Exceptional client service and team support skills
