About the role

  • Advising and supporting business units on tax matters with a focus on VAT (preparing short expert opinions and work instructions)
  • Participating in interdisciplinary projects and (tax) optimization of business processes
  • Further development of internal tax policies for the C.H.BECK media group
  • Updating transfer pricing documentation and advising on intercompany service charge allocations
  • Preparation of declarations under the Valuation Act (BewG) and the Inheritance and Gift Tax Act (ErbStG)
  • Assessing and implementing legislative changes and case law

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, economics, or a related field
  • Tax advisor qualification (Steuerberater exam) desirable
  • Several years of relevant professional experience at a tax advisory/auditing firm or in industry
  • Solid knowledge in corporate taxation, particularly VAT (UStG)
  • Confident user of M365; SAP experience is a plus
  • Independent and highly structured working style with strong conceptual skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
