About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support civil infrastructure projects for Northern Kentucky cities, counties, and private clients
  • Assist in preparing engineering plans, drawings, and technical specifications for roadway, transportation, traffic, drainage, sidewalk, bikeway, private development, and utility projects
  • Perform engineering analysis and calculations, including stormwater drainage calculations, grading volume computations, and basic structural checks
  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to model terrain and design elements, and Microsoft Excel for data tabulation and engineering formulas
  • Prepare cost estimates, technical reports, permit application packages, and project documentation in compliance with Kentucky standards
  • Support construction administration through site inspections, progress documentation, field-question responses, project closeout, and as-built drawings
  • Collaborate across municipal infrastructure, land development, and environmental consulting projects
  • Multi-task across roadway design, site grading, storm sewer modeling, waterline layouts, and traffic control plans
  • Participate in professional development under the supervision of licensed engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • 0-2 years of experience in land development civil-site engineering
  • Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred
  • EIT preferred
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS software preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
