About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support civil infrastructure projects for Northern Kentucky cities, counties, and private clients
Assist in preparing engineering plans, drawings, and technical specifications for roadway, transportation, traffic, drainage, sidewalk, bikeway, private development, and utility projects
Perform engineering analysis and calculations, including stormwater drainage calculations, grading volume computations, and basic structural checks
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to model terrain and design elements, and Microsoft Excel for data tabulation and engineering formulas
Prepare cost estimates, technical reports, permit application packages, and project documentation in compliance with Kentucky standards
Support construction administration through site inspections, progress documentation, field-question responses, project closeout, and as-built drawings
Collaborate across municipal infrastructure, land development, and environmental consulting projects
Multi-task across roadway design, site grading, storm sewer modeling, waterline layouts, and traffic control plans
Participate in professional development under the supervision of licensed engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
0-2 years of experience in land development civil-site engineering
Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred
EIT preferred
Familiarity with ArcGIS software preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
