About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and support SAP databases (e.g., HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) across development, QA, and production environments
Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability; identify and resolve issues proactively
Perform database installations, upgrades, patches, and refreshes in coordination with SAP Basis and infrastructure teams
Execute regular backup, recovery, and restore procedures; validate disaster recovery readiness
Support system copies, client copies, and data refresh activities
Assist with performance tuning, indexing, and SQL optimization
Manage database security, permissions, and access controls in line with company policies
Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures
Participate in on-call or after-hours support as required (for planned activities or incidents)

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, preferably supporting SAP environments
Hands-on experience with SAP HANA and/or other SAP-supported databases
Familiarity with SAP landscapes and integration with SAP Basis
Experience with backup and recovery tools, performance monitoring, and basic tuning
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
Understanding of database security and compliance best practices
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
