About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the end-to-end test strategy across services and features
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable automated test frameworks for backend services and UI
Collaborate with engineering and product to shape features, advocate for testability, and align quality expectations
Participate in architecture and design discussions with a testability and reliability focus
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins
Perform exploratory testing for usability issues, edge cases, and regressions
Work across multiple projects and shifting priorities in a startup environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience in QA or software testing, including 2+ years at a senior or staff level
Strong hands-on programming skills in at least one of Go, Python, or JavaScript
Daily use of AI tools for PR and design-document review, test-plan creation, and test-case automation
Ability to exercise judgment when verifying AI-generated output
Ability to independently identify and drive needed work
Proven ability to operate under ambiguity and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving startup
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and hands-on experience integrating automated test suites into pipelines
Working knowledge of Kubernetes environments and distributed systems, or strong aptitude and willingness to learn quickly
Excellent analytical and debugging skills, particularly for backend and infrastructure issues
Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD systems
Bonus: experience testing in tenant cluster or Tenant Isolation environments
Bonus: prior experience owning QA at a startup through rapid product growth
