About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement efficient, flexible solutions that scale for mission-critical applications
- Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Apply software standards and processes to produce high-quality, extensible, and maintainable software solutions
- Use cloud technology stacks for data extraction, manipulation, transformation, and visualization of geospatial-temporal datasets
- Develop analytics and derivative data products to help users extract meaningful knowledge
- Troubleshoot and proactively solve technical issues
- Work directly with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense users to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
- Collaborate with engineers, clients, and users
- Manage, analyze, and visualize large geospatial datasets using cloud-based processing technologies and emerging data science techniques
- Create technology solutions for data collection, data analytics, data visualization, and user workflow automation
- Work directly with analysts to understand mission needs and generate solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. citizenship
- Current TS/SCI security clearance, with willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology field
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated software development experience, including design, development, and implementation
- Proficiency in one multiparadigm programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or Rust
- Experience extracting, manipulating, visualizing, and analyzing large datasets
- Experience designing and supporting cloud-based architectures, including AWS and C2S environments
- Experience with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or similar technologies
- Experience developing and maintaining applications in cloud computing environments
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, in cloud or hybrid environments
- Proficiency in Linux-based environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset and adaptability
- Familiarity with modern software development tools, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with geospatial processing techniques, libraries, and visualization tools
- Experience with remote sensing datasets, geospatial datasets and formats, sensor-based data streams, and government collection platforms
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with open-source resources in a government computing environment
