About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Setting the strategic design for web-based applications.
Building a diverse range of applications from scratch and refreshing existing designs.
Shepherding designs through to completion, from research methodologies to supporting engineers.
Meeting regularly with clients to develop user empathy and collect requirements.
Communicating regularly with software development teams on product roadmaps.
Attending daily stand-ups to guide the user interface direction.
Facilitating design critiques and participating in all major product meetings.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a U.S. citizen with an active/current TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in a related field, e.g. UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, etc.
2+ years of UX/UI experience
Must present a strong (and preferably diverse) design portfolio!
Knowledge and applied use of Design Thinking principles.
Recent experience with Figma/FigJam as well as some of the following technologies: Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, InVision, Procreate.
Experience with Human-Centered Design approaches.
Web-based product design.
Experience with Graphic Design/Identity/Logo/Branding.
Experience mentoring junior staff or interns.
5 years experience.
