About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation solutions in Linux environments.
  • Create and enhance Bash scripts to automate system administration, application log gathering, metrics displays.
  • Develop and maintain job orchestration tools for data flows.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Kibana.
  • Support Elasticsearch data ingestion, indexing, and search optimization activities.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and mission stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Assist with log analysis, troubleshooting, and operational reporting.
  • Document automation processes, procedures, and technical configurations.
  • Participate in system testing, deployment, and sustainment activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to monitoring, observability, and automation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Security+ Certification
  • 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, automation, DevOps, software development or related technical roles
  • Experience working with Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system administration tasks
  • Experience with the ELK Stack, including: Elasticsearch, Kibana dashboard development, and Logstash or data ingestion pipelines
  • Familiarity with system monitoring, log aggregation, and operational analytics
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
