About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze business requirements together with stakeholders and translate them into robust solution architectures
Further develop the existing application and solution architecture
Consider the interaction between SAP, cloud, data and non‑SAP systems
Develop solution options and decision foundations
Evaluate suitable tools and long‑term viable solutions for processes
Further develop architecture principles, governance and technological guardrails
Contribute to the setup of future standards and tooling
Assess new technologies and opportunities around cloud, data and AI for their added value
Act as a sparring partner between the business, IT and technical specialists

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience as a Solution Architect, Application Architect or in a comparable senior role
Solid understanding of SAP and S/4HANA, ideally complemented by experience with SAP BTP
Knowledge of cloud and data platforms, integrations and the interplay of complex application landscapes
Experience with architecture principles, governance and end‑to‑end solution design
Strong business and process understanding and the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly
Independent, pragmatic working style and enthusiasm for actively developing structures
Very good German and good English skills
Specific industry knowledge is a plus but not required
Proven architectural background — the candidate should be ready to step into the role rather than grow into it
