About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You are responsible for the stable operation, security, and further development of the SAP landscape at the Basis level.
You are the technical constant in the background — without you, nothing runs, and the company knows it.
As the central interface between SAP application teams, IT infrastructure, and external partners, you ensure the platform remains performant, secure, and future-proof.
Responsibility for the stable operation of the SAP system landscape including S/4HANA and connected systems.
System administration: installations, upgrades, patches, transport management (TMS), client administration.
Performance monitoring, root-cause analysis, and system-level troubleshooting.
Management of user and role concepts including SAP authorization administration.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience in SAP Basis administration — ideally already in an S/4HANA environment
Solid knowledge of: SAP system administration (ABAP stack), transport management, user administration, and performance analysis
Experience with SAP HANA database administration is an advantage
Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating environments and basic network and storage infrastructure
Experience with SAP BTP or RISE with SAP is a plus — but not required
Structured, resilient way of working — able to remain calm and maintain oversight in critical situations
Strong communication skills — able to engage on equal terms with application teams as well as IT infrastructure and external partners
Fluent in German, both written and spoken
Authorization to work in Switzerland.
