About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Pitch and write original features, curated watchlists, franchise rankings, plot explainers, and deep-dive analysis on major movies, TV shows, and streaming platforms
Pitch unique, reader-obsessed feature topics regularly
Input work into the in-house CMS and find and format images according to guidelines
Stay ahead of upcoming release slates, streaming ecosystem updates, and pop-culture trends to pitch timely feature angles
Coordinate with editorial teams across brands for assignments, feedback, and content optimization
Follow general Editorial Guidelines while producing unique, high-quality feature content

Requirements

What you’ll need

Relevant experience writing and editing entertainment features, TV/movie listicles, or pop-culture feature content in English
Strong ability to pitch original feature concepts and write engaging, reader-focused feed content
Deep knowledge of the current streaming landscape, including Netflix, Max, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video, and Apple TV+
Knowledge of major media franchises
Ability to analytically turn complex plots, lore, or streaming trends into clear, readable, exciting articles
Proficiency with SEO practices for feature writing
Experience using a web-based CMS
Self-starter attitude and passion for staying ahead of the entertainment curve
CV and cover letter required for application
At least 2–3 published entertainment features, listicles, or pop-culture articles
Links to a portfolio or relevant social profiles
Contributors must adhere to Editorial Standards, including a prohibition on using Artificial Intelligence
