About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct clinical supervision to assist in maintaining appropriate clinical standards

- Mentor, teach, and demonstrate leadership
- Apply knowledge of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological stages of human growth and development
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSN required or obtain by December 31, 2019
- 5 years of healthcare/medical nursing experience required
- Currently an RN III within VH, or meets criteria to be hired as an RN III, including all 5 of the last 5 calendar years in a comparable acute care specialty setting
- Currently in a Non-Ladder RN position within VH with a minimum of 5 years of recent relevant experience
- Currently an RN II within VH with a minimum overall rating of exceeds standards on most recent VH performance appraisal
- RN nursing license required
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support), American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (HCP), required
- Must be licensed or eligible to practice pending licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with a Virginia multistate license under the Nurse Licensure Compact or a Virginia single-state license
- New hires must have appropriate American Heart Association certification prior to completion of orientation
- National certification by specialty organization preferred
- Ability to set priorities and make appropriate decisions
- Competence providing care using the nursing process
- Mentoring, teaching, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of human growth and development stages
