About the role

  • Strategic direction, development and commercialization of the VAHLE power-rail portfolio
  • Market and customer insight: conduct market, customer and competitor analyses; assess trends, technical developments and product performance
  • Strategic analysis & positioning: segment target markets, gather customer feedback, prepare business cases
  • Product strategy & vision: define product and portfolio strategy, create roadmaps, set pricing and communicate the vision to internal and external stakeholders
  • Product development & market readiness: support product development, manage requirements, ensure operational readiness and train relevant stakeholders
  • Product launch & go-to-market: support launches, promotions and marketing activities; provide sales and marketing materials and offer selective sales support

Requirements

  • Completed degree in engineering complemented by commercial/business training (e.g., MBA or equivalent)
  • Several years’ professional experience in technical or commercial product management, ideally within a manufacturing industrial company
  • Experience in analyzing and implementing requirements for electromechanical energy transmission systems is an advantage
  • Business administration know-how (e.g., forecasting, P&L, contribution margin analyses) and experience in data- and KPI-driven information analysis
  • Proven experience in developing successful solutions for complex issues or customer requirements
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, and experience with SAP
  • Very good communication skills in German and English (fluent written and spoken) when interacting with different audiences
  • Willingness to travel internationally
