Create data sets by researching publicly available information on companies or cities
Assist with preparation and storage of large datasets
Provide documentation on created datasets
Pull data from reports, the web, and other sources
Depending on position, work could include working with virtual machines and cloud platforms.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to read through multiple reports, mine public databases, and distill information into a database (excel spreadsheet or other formats).
Familiarity with big datasets
Experience with Python, Java, and/or SQL
Experience with data intelligence platforms, machine learning, or large language models for research preferred.
UVA undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
