About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assisting the LAEP Extension Specialist in helping communities and organizations envision, plan, and design community resources.
Using the design process as well as applicable tools to investigate, design, and propose thoughtful, innovative, and thorough design solutions.
Producing high quality design and planning graphics such as rendered plan views, sections, photo-montages, and 3D renderings and associated presentation boards, reports, and documents.
Development and delivery (in-person and online) of curriculum focused on topics such as: water wise landscape design, trail planning and construction, and storm water management.
Professionally communicating with project partners and the public regarding the status and management of a project.
The intern will frequently be working with communities to develop design alternatives and presenting the intent and details of a proposed design in a public forum.
