About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepares lessons and teaches procedures based on existing syllabus
Demonstrates and monitors student practice of proper skills technique and patient interactions (as applicable)
Compiles, administers, and grades examinations
Maintains a safe environment in the classroom
Creates syllabi and course outline
Contributes to evaluations of students’ non-cognitive behavior
Maintains expertise in area of instruction

Requirements

What you’ll need

Prior teaching experience in a university or professional education program
Graduate of a CCE-accredited Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program (not required for all courses)
Maintain an active license to practice as a chiropractic physician in the state of Oregon (or acquire such licensure shortly after hire)
Have sufficient stamina to provide lecture and/or lab instruction with brief breaks over a 1 to 4-hour period
Have sufficient mobility to move among students engaged in various types of lab activities
Have sufficient visual acuity to accurately identify pertinent structures and/or details as instructional activities demand
Have sufficient manual dexterity to operate pertinent tools and/or equipment as instructional activities demand
